Laboratory of Yukitoshi Otani
I am Yukitoshi Otani and this website gives a brief overview of the research developed by my laboratory. Don’t hesitate to contact me for any mutual research interest. The principal aims of the laboratory is to train highly skilled human resources capable of develop state of the art research related with Optics. Our laboratory is mainly focused in two main research fields: Polarization engineering implementations and Optomechatronics. By fundamental research on polarization, Stokes and Mueller sensing techniques, we are interested in engineering implementations related to obtain high speed, high accuracy or spatial distribution measurements. In relation with the Optomechatronics implementations, works has been developed related to light driving actuators/manipulators, interferometry and non-contact shape measurement techniques. By the moment the laboratory is composed by 2 appointed researchers, 5 Phd Candidates, 4 Master Candidates and 5 bachelor students.
